The goal of this project is to locate and photogrph as many gravesites as possible for the soldiers of the 19th Indiana Infantry. While doing genealogy on my family I found a soldier I was related to named Isaac Branson of E Company. In 2004 I found his grave outside a small Illinois town but was shocked at it's condition. The ravages of time had worn down the stone to the point of being almost unreadable. The stone was replaced the spring of 2005 and I decided to find and photograph the final resting places for the other members of this regiment. When possible I will replace deteriorated stones for these veterans so they won't be lost to history.

Often times these men served in other regiments during the war so their headstones may reflect that regiment and not the 19th Indiana. Other times their headstones will not show any service at all for one reason or another.

If you find any errors in my research or have information you would like to add please E-mail me. Also if you would like more information about a particular person please contact me and I may have more material than what is posted here.
