Silas S. Upham

Mustered into service as a Private on July 29th, 1861

Died 11 July 1863

Buried Gettysburg National Cemetery, Adams County Pennsylvania

Private Upham was wounded at the Battle of Antietam on September 17th, 1862 and again on July 1st, 1863 at the Battle of Gettysburg. He held the rank of Corporal when he died.

Silas was a teacher before the war began.
