Elihu H. Swain
Mustered out of the service with the rest of the band when they were disbanded in the late summer of 1862. He returned to Muncie Indiana where he joined Company G of the 9th Indiana Cavalry. He received a commission as a 1st Lieutenant on December 30th, 1863 and would muster out of the service on May 15th, 1865.
He was captured during his time with the 9th Indiana Cavalry and spent time at the Andersonville Prison in Georgia. He was one of the survivors of the steamship Sultana after his release from prison.
He filed for a pension in December of 1868.
