George C. Stewart

Mustered into service as a Sergeant on July 29th, 1861

Buried Pioneer Cemetery, Howard County Indiana

Sergeant Stewart was discharged from the service during the winter of 1861/1862.

He returned to Indiana and died soon after.

He is buried in a unmarked grave in the Pioneer Cemetery along with many other Civil War veterans.
