Michael Segraves

Mustered into service as a Wagoner on July 29th, 1861

Buried Marion National Cemetery, Grant County Indiana

Private Segraves suffered a gunshot wound to the back and hip during the fighting around Laurel Hill Virginia on May 10th, 1864. In the fall of 1864 the ranks of the 19th Indiana were so depleted from combat casualties and sickness they were folded into the 20th Indiana. Michael was put into Company A of that regiment where he served until his muster out on July 12th, 1865.

He filed for a pension in 1866.
