William Henry Phillips

Mustered into service as a Private on July 29th, 1861

Buried Graceland Cemetery, Marion County Iowa

Private Phillips received a disability discharge sometime between 1862 and 1863. He would also serve in the 17th Veteran Reserve Corps.

After the war he became a very wealthy department store owner.

He filed for a pension in June of 1880
