John O'Neal

Mustered into service as a Private on July 29th, 1861

Private O'Neal was reported missing in action after the Battle of the Wilderness in May of 1864. He was a POW until his muster out on July 12th, 1865.

He filed for a pension in January of 1880 and his wife Drucilla filed for a widows pension in February of 1892 while living in Missouri.
