Buried Crown Hill Cemetery, Marion County Indiana

Private Mills was discharged from the 19th Indiana because of sickness in the winter of 1862. In December of 1863 he joined Company E of the 9th Indiana Cavalry where he served until his muster out on August 28th, 1865.

Leander filed for a pension in 1880.
