Daniel McCrehan

Mustered into service as a Private on July 29th, 1861

Died 23 May 1865

 

 

Private McCrehan was captured at the Battle of Gettysburg on July 1st, 1863 and sent to the prison on Belle Isle in Virginia. He was then sent to the Andersonville Prison in Georgia where he stayed until he was exchanged. He was discharged from the service on March 24th, 1865.

 

He filed for a pension on April 14th 1865 but would die before it was granted.
