James Liggitt

Mustered into service as a Private on February 21st, 1864

James Liggett enlisted on February 21st, 1864 into Company D of the 19th Indiana Infantry. His service shows him transferring to Company I of the 20th Indiana Infantry in the late fall of that same year as a Musician. This man then musters out  on July 12th, 1865.

On July 22nd, 1861 a James Liggett enlisted into Company D of the 20th Indiana Infantry as a Musician. This man died on December 17th, 1910 and is buried in the Aspen Grove Cemetery located in Des Moines County Iowa.

It is very possible that this is the same man.
