Andrew F. Lakin

Mustered into service as a Private on July 29th, 1861

 

 

Private Lakin was wounded at the Battle of Brawner Farm on August 28th, 1862 and was discharged from the service on October 30th of that same year for disability.

 

On November 6th, 1862 he filed for a pension and was approved.

 

On September 5th, 1863 a Andrew F. Lakin mustered into Company G of the 7th Indiana Cavalry. This person died at the Andersonville prison in Georgia on November 1st, 1864 and is buried at the National Cemetery.

 

It is possible this is the same man.
