Valentine Kiger

Private Kiger was admitted to the hospital soon after arriving in Washington D.C. with a case of typhoid fever. He would be discharged for disability on November 15th of that year.
On October 17th, 1862 he enlisted as a Private in Company B of the 69th Indiana Infantry and then transferred to the 24th Indiana Infantry in July of 1865. He served with the 24th until his muster out on October 13th, 1865.
He filed for a pension in September of 1879.
