William Kennon

Mustered into service as a Corporal on July 29th, 1861

Corporal Kennon developed a case of chronic pneumonia soon after arriving in Washington D.C. in the fall of 1861. He would be discharged for disability soon after.

A William Kennon mustered into Company G of the 124th Indiana Infantry on December 19th, 1863. He served in that regiment until his death on February 1st, 1864 while in Union City Indiana. It is very possible that this is the same William Kennon that served in the 19th Indiana.

He is probably buried near Union City, Randolph County Indiana.
