William A. Hamilton
Mustered into service as a Private on July 29th, 1861
Private Hamilton mustered out of the 19th Indiana in July of 1864 having served his full three years.
At the time of his enlistment Williams occupation was doctors assistant. His father Robert was a doctor in the 1860 census.
William never filed for a pension possibly indicating he died soon after the war. At the Robinson Chapel Cemetery in Fayette County Indiana there is a Doctor William A. Hamilton who died in 1874. It is very possible it is the same man who served in the 19th Indiana.
