Augustus C. Gill

Mustered into service as a Private on January 06 1864

Unknown date of death or burial location.

Private Gill was wounded on May 12th, 1864 during the attack on Laurel Hill Virginia. His left shoulder joint was shattered by a musket ball. He would be discharged for disability on January 6th, 1865.

As of 1866 he was living in Aurora Indiana. Augustus never filed for a pension so it is possible he died soon after the war.
