Mustered into service as a Private on July 29th, 1861

Private Dryer was admitted to the hospital on November 12th, 1861 for a unnamed sickness. He would be discharged for disability on November 28th of that year.

John never filed for a pension but his wife filed for a 'widows' pension in May of 1877.
