George W. Dove

Mustered into service as a Corporal on July 29th, 1861

Discharged from the service in December of 1861 because of disability.

On August 19, 1862 a George W. Dove from Madison County Indiana mustered into service with Company K of the 16th Indiana Infantry as a Private. This soldier died on July 18th, 1863 and is buried in the Crown Hill National Cemetery located in Marion County Indiana. Because Company K of the 16th Indiana formed in Madison County Indiana as did  Company A of the 19th Indiana it is very possible this is the same person.  Currently there is no proof to substantiate this conclusion.
