Private Cly was wounded in the shoulder on June 8th, 1864 during the fighting around Laurel Hill Virginia. In the fall of 1864 he was transferred to Company E of the 20th Indiana Infantry as a Corporal.

 

He never filed for a pension but his widow Mattie filed for a widows pension in November of 1885.
