The next record found is his enlistment date of February 21st, 1864 into Company D of the 19th Indiana Infantry. It shows his muster out on October 18th, 1864 and muster into Company I of the 20th Indiana Infantry. He is listed as being the Musician for that company and that he mustered out on July 12th, 1865.

After the war he never filed for a pension.
