Joshua Cain

Mustered into service as a Private July 29th, 1861

Died 21 November 1905

Buried Marion National Cemetery, Grant County Indiana

 

Private Cain was wounded in the spring of 1864 in the fighting around Spotsylvania Court House Virginia. Later that year he was transferred to Company E of the 20th Indiana Infantry where he would serve until the end of the war.

 

He filed for a pension in May of 1866.
