Daniel Aiken

Private Aiken was promoted to Corporal in the summer of 1862 then to Sergeant in 1864. He was wounded at the Battle of Brawner Farm on August 28th, 1862. By the fall of 1864 the ranks of the 19th Indiana were so depleted by combat casualties and sickness they were folded into the 20th Indiana Infantry. Daniel was moved into Company I of that regiment were he served until his muster out on July 12th, 1865.
He filed for a pension in July of 1884.
