William Williamson

Mustered into service as a Corporal on July 29th, 1861

Unknown date of death or burial location.

 

 

Corporal Williamson was wounded severely at the Battle of Antietam on September 17th, 1862. He would soon be discharged from the service because of his wounds.

 

On April 22nd, 1863 William filed for and started to receive a pension. By the spring of 1880 his wife Sara attempted to file for a widows pension. She was filing under the name Sara Emerson. She was living in Kansas at the time and her request was denied.

 

William apparently died sometime before 1880.
