William Simmons

Mustered into service as a Private on July 29th, 1861

Died 01 July 1863

Buried Gettysburg National Cemetery, Gettysburg Pennsylvania

Private Simmons was killed at the Battle of Gettysburg.

He left behind a wife Sara and a two small children.  

Sara filed for a 'widows' pension in September of 1863.
