Corporal Moore was wounded at the Battle of Gettysburg on July 1st, 1863. He would transfer to the 20th Indiana Infantry with the other surviving members of the 19th in the fall of 1864. When he mustered out of the service in 1865 he held the rank of Sergeant.
He filed for a pension in 1890.
