Henry Harrison Hiatt

Mustered into service as a Private on July 29th, 1861

Buried Glen Cove Cemetery, Henry County Indiana

Private Hiatt was wounded in the right thigh by a minie ball at the Battle of Brawner Farm on August 28th, 1862 and was left on the field when Union forces withdrew that night. He was captured but paroled a few days later and sent to Emory Hospital in Washington D.C. He was discharged for disability on October 20, 1863.

 

He started to receive a pension in 1863.

At the time of his death Henry was the Clerk of Circuit Court of Henry County Indiana.
