Luther Montgomery Hall

Mustered into service as a Private on July 29th, 1861

Died 27 April 1865

Unknown burial location

  In the spring of 1862 Private Hall was discovered to be under the age of 18 was discharged from the 19th Indiana. When he became of age he enlisted in Company K of the 124th Indiana Infantry in December of 1863. At some point he was captured and sent to a rebel prison camp. After he was released he was making his way home with other released prisoners on the steamer Sultana. He died when the steamer exploded on the Mississippi River. His body was never identified.
