The funeral of John W. Dittemore, a former well known wholesale merchant of the city, who died at this home, 1012 Central Ave., at noon yesterday, will be held from his late residence tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Mr Dittemore was fifty nine years old. He was born in Owen County and served throughout the Civil War as a captain of the Nineteenth Indiana Volunteers. He was for years a member of the wholesale firm Dittemore, Smith & Co. and later was the president of the Indiana Shoe and Rubber Company. He was a member of the Columbia Club and the Mystic Tie Lodge. Two children, John V. Dittemore and Mrs. J.H. Parkhurst survive.
