Samuel M. Bradbury

Private Bradbury was wounded at the Battle of Gettysburg on July 1st, 1863. He received a serious gun shot wound to his jaw on the left side of his face. By September he was recommended for transfer to the Veteran Reserve Corps. Because of his disability he requested to be discharged and was granted that request on February 5th, 1864. He was soon admitted to a New York hospital where he died from a case of chronic diarrhea on the 16th of February. His uncle Cyrus Bradbury went to New York and returned to Indiana with Samuels remains.
