Stephen Adams

Private Adams was reported as missing in action after the Battle of Antietam on September 17th, 1862 but would soon return to the regiment.

By the fall of 1864 the ranks of the 19th Indiana were so depleted from combat casualties and sickness they were folded into the 20th Indiana Infantry. Stephen was put in Company E of that regiment were he served until the end of the war mustering out on July 12th, 1865.
